85% Probability of UN Plaza being nuked between Friday evening June 9th and Saturday evening June 10th, 2006 [1]

No, that’s not from the Department of Homeland Security, but from the marginally more reliable True Bible Code site.

Firstly we strongly advise anyone in New York City with any faith in God, whatever his religion or whatever his distrust of organised religion, to take the second weekend in June off, and leave NYC for that weekend.

You can then study this fascinating article outside NYC at your leisure, during that weekend or more to the point, after that weekend! It is going to be hard to find the necessary time during the next few days, given the busy schedule of every New Yorker, to sit down and fully analyze the fruits of 14 years of bible decoding and reach a rational decision about such a momentous prediction. So the sensible course of action might be to judge for yourself whether we are sincere in our efforts to decode the bible. And if you see that we are sincere, then rather than taking an intellectual walk from basic faith to accurate bible prophecy, just rely on all of the work that we have so far done and on the basis of your faith and our sincerity, take the weekend out of the city.

We have everything to lose and nothing to gain if we are not sincere. We also have a lot to lose if we are wrong. We have done this work in order to save lives. We risk looking like complete turkeys on June 11th if nothing has happened by then, rather than looking like the wackos that we presently look like to most people. But it does not really matter what we look like, what matters is that people start taking the bible seriously at this late stage in the divine plan.

Don’t say you weren’t warned!

Well, at least the whackos are giving you a real threat and date you can act on, rather than simply saying, “Hey, there might be more danger, but don’t overreact, but do let us know if you see anything strange, but we can’t ell you any more than that.”

Well, at least they’re updating the site:

Our first 3 dates were wrong but the scriptural threat is still there. We now calculate that the UN Plaza will be nuked between Friday evening June 30th and Saturday evening July 1st, 2006

It is certainly true that: No nukes is good nukes! But just because we got the date wrong (3 times) does not mean that the scriptural threat has evaporated. It is still there in black and white. So we still have the almost impossible task of persuading a typical New Yorker with faith in God, that the Bible predicts the very day and place of the first terrorist nuke. There is obviously a massive credibility gap between: “Here endeth the lesson” and “Here endeth NYC”. But every journey, however long, begins with one small step. So here is our attempt to fill that gap.

Firstly we again strongly advise anyone in New York City with any faith in God, whatever his religion or whatever his distrust of organised religion, to take the weekend of June30/July1, and leave NYC for that weekend.

Will the suspense never end? Now it’s “Sundown Tuesday July 25th and Sundown Thursday July 27th, 2006”!

We have indeed made 4 mistakes so far. 4 failed nuclear predictions. 4 very large mistakes! 4 very visible mistakes. But fortunately we do not hold to the doctrine of papal infallibility. So we can learn from our mistakes rather than pretending that we never make any.

This is what we have learned…
The UN in Midtown Manhattan will be hit by a sea borne nuclear bomb sometime in the Biblical month of Tammuz, we expect this to happen on 2006Tammuz28/29 i.e. between Sundown Tuesday July 25th and Sundown Thursday July 27th, 2006.

We do apologise for our incompetence at getting the day right. But we do still have the month right in our understanding and we now have a new day for this disaster. So we again strongly advise anyone in New York City with any faith in God, whatever his religion, or whatever his distrust of organised religion, to be outside the city between Tuesday evening July 25th and Thursday evening July 27th.

At least they’re honest in admitting their errors thus far.

And since NYC is still there, they’ve gone back, checked their numbers, and determined that the new date is “between Sundown Sunday July 30th and Sundown Tuesday August 1st, 2006.”

I continue to give them some credit for admitting their errors to date and taking action to update their web pages immediately (and not taking the “easy” course of pushing the date out a year or two). I still think they’re goofballs, but at least they’re goofballs with some integrity.

Hardly worth checking any more.

Or, put another way, if stuff like this were predictable from Scripture (a huge if, IMO — even if one takes Scripture as, ah, Gospel, the question of why God would embed stuff like this as a secret code remains unanswered), one would expect it to be, well predictable. A variance of over two months (so far) seems a bit dodgy.
