  2. Some Colorado activists are eagerly awaiting an overturn of Roe v. Wade.  In fact, they want laws on the books, ready to be enforced, for that momentous day.

  7. Remember all those FEMA trailers bought but never used for Katrina victims?  FEMA is selling them off now — but questions are being raised about formaldehyde emissions inside of them.  Unanswered in the article — is this actually unusual in trailers?  Or were they just poorly/cheaply built (in which case, is this unusual in poorly/cheaply-built trailers)?

  1. Yes, wrote about the stupid amendment last week. While the threshold to get on the ballot is low enough, it is highly unlikely to pass since it would outlaw the Pill, Plan B and IUD’s.

As too the FEMA trailers, if I remember correctly it is a problem of all trailers, but worse in cheaply built ones.

  2. Your blog post on the amendment led to opening the RMN article, which has stayed open until I did the above. Should have given you as a cite.

I suspect you are correct on the trailers — “new house smell” and “new car smell” (and, I assume, “new trailer smell”) are all composed of fairly nasty vols and semi-vols which can make you pretty sick in prolonged exposure. The question is more to lead to the discussion of, if this is fairly standard in trailers, esp. cheap trailers, will we actually do something about it (assuming something is possible) as a whole, or will we just pay attention to FEMA’s particular actions?
