Possibly one of the best of the giant outside statues I’ve seen in a looooong time!

It’s just great fun. And I get to take the light rail past it every day. Definitely brings a smile. 🙂

The contrast between the convention center bear and the airport demon horse is amazing.

Big Blue Bear is probably the best Public Art in the Denver….well…and the multi coloured whirligigs in the DIA train tunnels. The best thing Denver did was to move Big Blue Bear out from inside the Convention Center to the entrance to the Convention center.
Every car show and Beer Fest I would make it a point to go and see Big Blue Bear where he used to be hidden.
Ahhh….the Demon Horse: Too bad King no longer lives in the area, otherwise I am sure that it would feature proximately in a forthcoming book.
