Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….
- Missouri school district bans t-shirts for acknowledging evolution. – Evolution is not a religious issue. Any more than gravity is. You may hold beliefs that oppose it, but discussing it (or wearing a t-shirt about it) is NOT a religious statement. If it is, then EVERYTHING is a religious statement.
- Rep. Joe Barton: If GOP takes back the House, ‘we’ll repeal’ health care reform. – Well, at least we know what the stakes are.

- When Did Facebook Remove RSS for Friends’ Status Updates? – There’s a solution nested down in the comments, but only until Facebook shuts that off, too. Bottom line: FB doesn’t want you reading FB content outside of FB — it wants you to read everything else from within FB.
- 15 (More) Free Web Tools To Simplify Your Work Life – There are some great tools here. Not sure any of them will baround in a year, but in the meantime …

- Why Don’t Teens Tweet? We Asked Over 10,000 of Them. – “The question of “Why Don’t Teens Use Twitter?” is the question of “Why Doesn’t Everyone Use Twitter?” The answer, it would seem, is both obvious and heretical … maybe Twitter isn’t for everyone.” — beause, bottom-line, use of Twitter by teens is no worse than use of Twitter by other age cohorts. Amazingly enough, people use online tools and systems that they find useful.
- Hurricanes and high containment labs don’t mix [Effect Measure] – Yeah, this still remains a really dumb-sounding idea.
