I knew that using hot water would eliminate bubbles. What I didn't know is why anybody would want to. Is it purely esthetic?
+Scott Randel Pretty much, far as I can tell. I suppose a clearer ice cube means fewer impurities, and therefore is tastier / better, but I'm not sure in most cases one would notice.
