Y'know, I just love this flick. It's definitely on my "Desert Island" list.
A ★★★★ review of The Mummy (1999)
You know, no matter how many times I watch this film, I just plain old enjoy it. Unabashed action, drama, comedy, tragedy, good guys to boo, bad guys to cheer, heroes winning damsels, weasels getting their just desserts … this film has it all. It’s the “Indiana Jones” films distilled down and given a kick in the butt. I plan on watching it again (and again).

That said, again, I lurves me some first installment. The rest are just bad memories.
The third should never have been made. When they couldn't get Rachel W. To come back for it, it was doomed. The first film was brilliant in every way, I agree!
