Contemporary folk like to figure out how to make the classical mythologies as straightforward and rational in their genealogy as the royal families of Europe (and with about as much inbreeding), and to be as authoritative and straightforward as the Bible (is thought to be by people who haven't actually studied it).
But those mythoi come to us from lots of different sources, often contradictory, often separated by centuries, often with very different tales to tell (similar to the Bible), and so defy simple, consistent storytelling. Even for Marvel and DC Comics.
Anyway, here are some nicely drawn (at the very least) genealogies of the Norse, Greek, and Egyptian pantheons (by Korwin Briggs, via http://imgur.com/gallery/DZ1FC).
Unfortunately, it seems that the photos did not load up at size (or are not being displayed with the ability to zoom in on them). I'm guessing something in the New Google + / Google Photos thang that needs fixing.
Check out the Imgur.com link at the end of the article to see them properly.
Interesting and funny😊…. nicely done
