Donald Trump is a Dolt (From Russia with Love Edition)

So, just to be sure I have this straight, Donald Trump, the GOP Nominee for President of the United States …

1. Hopes Russia hacked Secretary of State Clinton's official email system, so that they can release the "30,000 emails that are missing" for the benefit of the American press.

2. Refuses to opine on whether Russia should be meddling in the US election, saying that's up to the President to tell them not to. "I'm not going to tell Putin what to do. Why should I tell Putin what to do?"

3. Thinks that if the Russians did hack the DNC's email servers (as experts have suggested) and released information from them to Wikileaks in order to influence the US election, well … that's just a sign that Russia doesn't respect Obama and wouldn't respect Clinton. Because … reasons.

And this is the man who claims that he can work better with (and be respected by) Vladimir Putin — the man who jokes about Russia hacking US State Department files and doesn't seem to think it's his job as a major party nominee to suggest that foreign intervention in US politics, by a rival if not hostile power, is a bad thing.

Dolt.

Donald Trump Challenges Russia to Find Hillary Clinton’s Missing Emails
“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Mr. Trump said, essentially sanctioning a foreign power’s cyberspying.

  1. I don’t think he understands how emails work. I believe that he thinks deleted emails go into some sort of big dumpster, like the ones outside buildings, and thus are public.

  2. Wasn't there a credible rumor that the DNC hack did come from Russia? I also saw another article that claimed this unlikely because NSA would probably have known.

In any case I took his statement as a troll which means it's best to just ignore.

  3. +Jon Weber There have been some credible reports that the DNC attack appear to have been state-sponsored, and from Russia. Enough that jollity around it is highly inappropriate.

And, yes, quite likely a troll, but even trolling about such thing is doltish.
