I collect comics. I have for a lot of years.
My collection started around 1973 or so, when David Shoop foolishly gave me a
stack of comics for reasons unknown. He asked me for them back
later. Heh, sh'yeah, right.
Anyway, my comic collection was fairly static (aside from a fortuitous Giant-Sized
X-Men #1 picked up during a family vacation to the Grand Canyon) until I hit
college and, suddenly, had disposable income.
I've been disposing of it ever since.
In addition to the favorite comics listed above, there's a lot of
"also-rans" on my list -- things I read regularly (for at least the
last several months), but that I can't really, honestly put in my Hall of
Fame. These include:
Avengers, Thunderbolts,
JLA, JSA, Green Lantern, Flash, Impulse, Fantastic
Four, various X-titles (X-treme, New,
Uncanny, Exiles), Black Panther, Detective, The Punisher, various
Superman titles, Hellblazer, The Spectre, Captain America, Titans, Wonder
Woman, Incredible Hulk, Out There, Green Arrow, Legion, Birds of Prey, Amazing
Spiderman
I buy other stuff, too, but Reality, Sanity, and
Financial Integrity has demanded I try, desperately, to reduce my
"Gosh, I guess that's okay" class of comics.
While there are some "alternative" comics on
the list, I'm still a sucker for heroes in Spandex.
I've got a copy of ComicBase which I'm inventorying my
frighteningly large collection (there's a room in the basement dedicated to the
Gorilla Racks and long boxes). I'm way behind in the project, but ...
well, Katherine wouldn't have to worry about college, if I ever actually sold
the things.
I'm a card-carrying member of the Comic Books Legal
Defense Fund. If you enjoy comic books, you should be, too.

minimum, due to bit rot) are:
