With apologies to WW

Seven things I’m grateful for:

1. The way Katherine runs over and hugs me with genuine enthusiasm when I come home.
2. The way Margie smiles.

3. Friends I can be geeky with, whether it’s playing D&D or talking about comics or just hanging.

4. Backups. Safe, secure, recent backups.

5. Digital Cable, without which I would not be able to indulge in the Cartoon Network or SciFi Channel.

6. Being financially secure enough that I can indulge my silly little hobbies, like personally supporting the payroll at both Marvel and DC Comics.

7. Knowing that, while I am off in Orlando on business for the next four-plus days, Katherine will be safe, and Margie will be waiting for me, and that I’ll be coming home to them soon.
