As part of my ongoing review of sites in my blogroll (a/k/a, “I waste time going here — why don’t you?”), I’m moving on to the Wanna list. These are sites I try to visit daily. I don’t always make it, but when I can, I do.

Sites with an asterisk (*) are recent additions. The order of the list here doesn’t mean anything — it’s just how they currently sorted in Blogrolling.com.

  • Andrew Sullivan*: One of the A-List political commentators online — sometimes a little too A-list.
Last three posts: The NY Times agenda, the Blix agenda, the BBC agenda.

  • Plum Crazy*: A DDTB-like combination of news commentary and personal anecdotage.
Last three posts: Cher’s wig has been recovered, fast food and weight gain (duh), the BBC “censors” George Michael’s t-shirt.

  • A Small Victory*: A DDTB-like combination of news commentary and personal anecdotage.
Last three posts: Google outage, Bloggie winners (A Small Victory was one of the contenders), current status of the TROOPtrax project.

  • Gamer’s Nook: Scott often causes my blood pressure to spike when he holds forth on Bush and/or Iraq. Fortunately, he has enough other interesting stuff to talk about that it’s worth returning and sifting through for it. (I would guess he feels the same way about my site, for what it’s worth.)
Last three posts: Terry Jones on Bush, life is busy, fabricated Iraq evidence.

  • IsThatLegal?*: A new law blog, much of the recent action has been focused on the inane comments of Howard Coble. Good, readable stuff, modest throughput.
Last three posts: malls and the First Amendment, Administration support, facts about anti-Japanese violence post-Pearl.

  • Ghost of a Flea*: A fine blog by Canadian anthropologist, focusing mostly on current affairs and science news.
Last three posts: Going for the oil, Berkeley free speech, plea-bargaining pictures.

  • The Volokh Conspiracy: A group blog focused primarily (but not exclusively) on legal issues, both per se and those surrounding current news. Always interesting, and often a fresh approach to things.
Last three posts: the price of surrender, cost of names, equal opportunity cynicism.

  • Cranky Chick: Personal rants on life, the universe, and everything. Always entertaining, even on the occasions I disagree with her.
Last three posts: audio blogs, fortune cookies, PETA and the Holocaust.

  • Both2And*: Another DDTB-like combo of personal anecdotes, amusing links, and occasional references to news of the real world. Light throughput.
Last three posts: funny names, crazy Apple rumors, blimp tales.

  • Blather: I’ve linked to Bill Barrol for some time now, and though his throughput is light, his sense of humor is easily one of the finest ones out there, as he picks up news items and gives them a fine twist.
Last three posts: shameless self-promotion, uniforms, mistaken identities.

  • Blinne Blog*: Tech news, humor, and religion. Not a bad mix.
Last three posts: MS Collaboration Server, Left Behind prophecies, Terror Alerts on Sesame Street.

  • JillMatrix: Another longtime link of mine, and another DDTB-like mixture of personal life, links and news thoughts. Light throughput.
Last three links: an odd medical emergency, a timewaster, cooking for the Blonde.

  • Uncle Bear: Various short RPG bits, from online campaign resources to newly published materials. Currently undergoing a revamp.

  • Peter David: One of my favorite novel and comics writers talks about novel and comics writing. And some other stuff, too, though that’s a mixed bag.
Last three posts: the Broadway musicians strike, if spam were true, this week’s Angel.

  • Blaster’s Blog: Mostly commentary on current issues.
Last three posts: Blix and drones, popping dictators, South Korean second thoughts.

  • L.T. Smash*: A reserve officer called up to Kuwait, and how things are there. Interesting.
Last three posts: time running out, more rain, a change in the weather.

  1. I can’t believe you ever disagree with me. 😉

Thanks for putting up with me. You’re one of the few bloggers I’d really like to sit down and have lunch with some time. 🙂
