Iraq claimed it never had any weapons of mass destruction.

Now, at (beyond?) the 11th hour, Saddam Hussein admits that, well, really, truth be known, they really did have them — but it was all someone else’s fault, you see? And, besides, they don’t have them any more.

Honest.

And they’ve never been involved with al-Qa’eda, either.

Honest.
