Frell. The obvious problem with my notebook’s lack of backlighting (i.e., the problem solved by the spare part that the tech brought out with him) is not, in fact, the problem. Naturally.
So he’ll be back out on Monday, with the (ostensibly) right part. And I’ll be using a monitor on my breakfast table over the holidays, dagnabbit.
