The other panel that you missed that was cool was entiteld “Earth invades Mars” and included two scientists from the recent Mars expeditions. They showed photos and talked about the involvement with the projects along with Greg Bear, writer of such novels as “Moving Mars.”
It is no surprise that they want to see manned expiditions to Mars, but one had a very interesting parallel. He showed a photo that Neil Armstrong had taken on the first mon visit that involved walking about 60 meters away from the lunar lander, a photo that Neil didn’t tell anyone that he had taken until the photos were developed. He said the journey and photo took about 5 minutes of time. Opposite that photo, the scientist had a photo that Spirit took looking back at the lander from 120 meters away. It took over two weeks for Spirit to take that photo. ‘Nuff said.
