Some tweaking around in the sidebar …

  1. Farewell to blogrolling.com. I don’t use the functionality, so it’s a PitA to keep maintained. That means farewell to graphic buttons for link sites, too, since I’m now using an export from Jaeger to maintain the list. Since very, very few people seem to use the graphic buttons any more, I don’t mind turning out that light on the way out.
  2. As mentioned, the blogroll is now a lot closer to what I myself use — save that I’ve cut the number of sites/blogs/links in a third of what I monitor. The idea is that the list on the page is stuff that (a) I’d recommend to anyone, and (b) I’d be interested in getting to should I lose access to Jaeger (e.g., if I’m off on vacation somewhere).

  3. Major implementation of those ubiquitous little 80x15px mini-buttons, courtesy of the Kalsey button maker (and some swipes).

I’ll be expanding some of that sidebar stuff to the other archives tomorrow, but that’s about all I’m good for this evening (esp. after struggling through some bizarro Firefox-vs-IE display differences).

  1. Nope. This pulls out of my RSS reader as a manual export, so it’s a lot easier to maintain (than blogrolling.com), but doesn’t show the updates. Sorry ’bout that.
