I am looking for a small fan (as in a computer power supply size and quietness) with an adjustable thermostat (“when it gets this hot, kick in”), that can plug into normal 110 household current.
I’ve done some digging around, and I can probably piece something together, but if I could find something already built that way, it would seriously rock. As would the person who could point me at it. A reward of some sort would almost certainly be forthcoming.
You should be able to find something

Hmmm. Interesting. I don’t need dual fans, and I was hoping for something a bit less expensive than $100+, but that’s a good starting point.
And more stuff here, Not much else luck, alas. And I really was hoping to avoid that sort of expense. May be no choice for it, though.
Good info to dig into here.
The goal in this, by the by, is to increase air circulation in our entertainment center. In particular with the new DVR (though it was true before), the area gets quite warm. I’d like to push the air down past the TV when heat reaches certain point, as well as being able to close the doors there.
Failing that, I might discuss with Margie taking the doors off, because having the doors open all the time looks at least as dorky (not to mention being a head-bump hazard).
