At Mist and Indy’s long-overdue checkups a couple of weeks back, a dental cleaning was highly recommended. So today, the two of them get dropped off for all-day tooth cleaning stuff (under anaesthesia). Maybe. Mist was in all night, but Indy decided to no-show from the time we got home to, well, Midnight (which was when I tired of staying up waiting for him). No sign this morning, either, which is irksome, not worrying. Hopefully he shows in time for Margie to take him in …
(And did I mention we were planning on microchipping him, too? Imagine that.)
UPDATE: Margie found him up the street. The neighbors there leave their garage cracked open for him (as he is a communal cat, it appears).

Margie called the vets when she hadn’t heard back from them in the time frame scheduled. Given that we’re talking general anaesthesia here, and older cats, she was understandably worried.
The verdict (which Margie IMed me with)?
Given that both were waaaaaay overdue for a cleaning, and that’s our fault, it’s only fair we suck up the expense and inconvenience, and we’ll be giving them both plenty of Kitty Love tonight.
