Quoth Massachusetts Superior Court judge Jeffrey Locke:
A sandwich is not commonly understood to include burritos, tacos and quesadillas, which are typically made with a single tortilla and stuffed with a choice filling of meat, rice, and beans.
The ruling was in a case where Panera Breads — which had an exclusive deal with a mall not to allow any other sandwich shops in — was suing to prevent a Qdoba burrito shop onto the property.
