So…they refused to talk to the invesitgators. Pulled the plug the day he was going to be nailed.
Played fast and loose with all the accounts…
And there are folks that still support him?
I just do not understand people in the Springs.
It’s all just a bunch of cult’s of personalities down there.
Interestingly, a conservative group that Armstrong co-founded supports the process and thinks it should continue.
There is a certain “cult of personality” sense involved (one reason why there are recommended guidelines as to how long a priest should serve as a rector at a church).
More commentary on some of the specific charges (yeesh) here.
Ohhh….
Nice bits there and I had to laugh at this one:
“speaking of the “Elephant” in the nave!”
Also, one person made a good point about all the things that Armstrong denied to Torkleson and the Gezette were things not even covered in the presentment.
Somehow I get the feeling that once light starts getting cast upon all the finacial dealings and shifting of monies that it will be found that several of those that stood with Armstrong recieved some sort of finacial benefit.
That may well be so, though I’m trying to be gracious enough to note that that “accusation” does not equal “guilt.” What bugs me a hell of a lot more is how Armstrong’s been handling himself in all of this. A better poster boy for snarky, self-righteous arrogance one would be hard to find.
