Congrats to Katherine who won 1st place in kumite (sparring) for her age division at the tournament Saturday. She also did well in kata, winning her first two contests before being knocked out by the person who eventually won 1st.
Very proud. It’s funny — I don’t want her to think that my approval, love, or even pride in her is contingent on her winning — but that she did win does make me want to laud even more praise her.
