All sorts of things going on, though few of them are concluding as yet.
In karate, I’m getting ready for testing for my green belt. That should be a week from Thursday.
On the front yard, we’re awaiting approval from the HOA (no problems expected), and still need to make some design decisions. One problem is that we’re late enough in the season that some of the tree varieties we want are not available in mature models; we may hold off on some of that until the Spring, though I’d hate to wait for all of it. Estimated start time is now some time next week, not necessarily Monday.
Attended a Girl Scouts organizing meeting for Kitten the other evening. They’re short on 3rd graders, so the local unit poobah is going to determine the best course, probably hearing back in a week or two.
I finally have all my visa application info for my India trip, and will be submitting that today. Yeesh, what a pain. That should be back in a couple of weeks, in more than enough time for the trip itself.
There’s some shaking up going on in my department right now — not bad stuff, but more-work stuff. There are also some uncertainties about the overall budget this year; we’ll see how the new CIO does. I expect more on this in a week or so.
Oh, and there’s an election in a couple of months. Though there’s not much I do there besides vote (and blather on here).
Wish there was some closure to be had around here. 🙂
I think you mean Purple Belt.
Yes. Yes, I do. (thumps self on forehead)
There are other opprotunities for Girl Scouts – multilevel troops, non troop participation, single, drop in type programs, etc. Check out the council web site.
