I mean, here it is, the second of bloody June and all, and we have torrential rains, gusty winds, and highs in the 40s? Flood watch on Cherry Creek (upstream of the reservoir)? Jeez!
Glad at lunch I had my trusty full-size London Fog brolly. Wish I’d had my gloves!
Dave? This is what the end of May beginning of June is supposed to be like. 🙂
Historic data for For June 2 at Centennial Airport:
Mean Temperature 49 °F -
Max Temperature 53 °F 74 °F 93 °F (2002)
Min Temperature 45 °F 46 °F 39 °F (1999)
That’s actual, average, and record. That sure looks a lot closer to the low end than the high.
Okay, allow me to rephrase that:
This the way the end of May and the beginning of June should be barring the almost constant 30 past years of drought on the eastern plains of Colorado. This is what use to be referred to the monsoon season, which will hopfully turn into thunderstorms in the afternoons for the rest of the summer. ~crosses fingers~
Okay, well, I’m willing to ignore 30 years of meteorology to establish the norm. 🙂
Coldest damned monsoon I’ve ever heard of, though …
It has snowed in June before, and two years ago there was a freeze….not much of a stretch to combine the two.
