An imperfect storm

Usually we sort of roll with the weather here at the Consortium.  If it snows, it snows, and we just sort of bundle up, hang at home, and deal with it.

The particular storm heading into Denver today, though, is hitting with particularly unfortunate timing …

First off, Margie’s folks, Jim & Ginger, are in mid-road trip here for Spring Break week.  They slept over in Santa Fe last night at our favorite Inn on the Paseo, and are headed up here today, heading north along I-25 as the storm heads south.

Hrm.

So we’re monitoring the roads, and staying in touch.  Our best guess, based on what we hear, is that they’ll probably make it to Pueblo and stay there overnight, arriving here tomorrow instead.

Meanwhile, Kitten was scheduled for a sleepover tonight at a friend’s house.  That’s still on, but we’ve already told her that if the school closes early due to snow, we’d like her to catch the school bus home rather than going home with Alana’s mom.  Just more comfortable with her being at home on a snowpocalyptic night.  If it is.

So a few plans disrupted — but that’s the fun of living somewhere with weather.  No worries.
