    I just bought a pair of $20 bedroom slippers. $20 for three pieces of polyester cloth and a little padding attached to a plastic bottom! But I’m hoping that these last longer than the half-year the previous, cheaper, slippers lasted.

    Don’t get me started on the price of “real” shoes that take orthotic inserts…

  2. Well, we ended up with paying on average $40/pair at Off Broadway, which wasn’t too bad, esp. for walking shoes. Wearing pairs to work this week, to help break them in.
