And another one in the can! Some Fear Itself, some farewells to some favorites, a bit of Charles Vess, and a shout-out to DC Women Kicking Ass.
Also, I mistakenly call Jessica Jones “Jessica Smith.” She’s going to hurt me. (There, I fixed it. If not in the most professionally slick fashion.)
UPDATE (21 Aug.): Apparently this one didn’t get correctly uploaded/categorized, so folks who are pulling it down from places other than my blog didn’t see it for a week. Sorry about that.
Ran a bit under-time this week — just under 13 minutes. I thought I was going to go over, honestly, and had a couple of outs noted. We continue to learn the timing.
Excelsior!
Great podcast, Dave!
Too bad about the Daken book, not because of Daken (a weak character) but because Taskmaster is one of my favorite villains, too!
I’ll make sure to get the Fear Itself TPB from the library when it come out, thanks for the heads up!
KotDT is a perenial fave, and I’m glad to see Jolly soldiering on despite the recent passing of his daughter. The Knights community sent him an outpouring of support, which can’t soften the blow, but lightens the load, a little.
Looking forward to future podcasts!
Yeah, I’ve always had a fondness for the Taskmaster, as a character concept (and professional choice). Even enjoyed the recent miniseries, for all it turned the whole thing on its head.
I’ll be planning on getting the Fear Itself TPB, too.
And, yes, I was touched by the support that Jolly got from the KODT community.
Another good podcast.
You sound levels seemed to jump upward toward the end of the segment though.
Not sure what was going on there. Unless I bumped the mic and brought it closer to my mouth. Oh, well … live and learn.
