Shameful

Enough to make me ashamed of being an Anglican. Or a Christian. Or a human being.

    1. Well, on the assumption that Canterbury would be listened to by Uganda (which seems unlikely these days), the CoE is busy arguing amongst itself over same-sex marriage in the UK and whether it constitutes a grave risk of requiring disestablishment.

  1. I know….Canterbury says nothing. I don’t believe it says anything about the torture and murder of child “witches” in several African countries where the Anglican Church has a strong presence, either. Canterbury is happy enough when African Bishops come to the US to “poach,” though.

Perhaps next Archbishop? And people wonder why I don’t give a rat’s behind what Canterbury has to say about the ECUSA.

    1. @Ellie – Agreed. The ABC is a very interesting fellow — my sense is that he’s let his institutional responsibilities (and fears) outweigh his personal convictions, leading to weak leadership and pandering to the folks most likely to formally break away.
