This photo also clearly shows the tire tread in Curiosity. See those holes? They not only help with travel on the Red Planet… they are Morse Code for "JPL" (so pretty soon the surface of Mars will have tire treads spelling out "JPL… JPL… JPL")

Our helpful #trash company has provided, free of charge (except as some fractional amount of our trash bill over time) brand new giant #garbagecans which their new trash trucks can easily lift and empty.

Without being concerned, apparently, as to whether folk actually have the space (esp. those of us who keep our trash cans inside the garage, given our snowy winters) for these significantly larger cans.

So I spent the day re-configuring my garage shelving, dagnabbit.

I can only assume that half the voting public, according to polls, actually *want* things to get "nasty" for a while. Probably because they assume it will be nasty for someone else, and they are okay with that.
