It’s the next monthly installment of my comic book review podcast. Woot! And now the player is right here, above the covers, for your convenience.

The covers below are for the issues I gave an individual review of; hover over the covers below to see the ratings out of 5 stars (with an occasional added comment).
The cover that Avengers Academy #38 reminds me of is Avengers #141 (which I have a three-ring binder of).
No, I thought of that one, Avo, but I think the actual inspiration is Uncanny X-Men #100. Down to the awkward arm poses. 🙂
Still waiting for the TPB of the Before Watchman series.
~makes note to add to my pull box~
@BD – They’ve all been decent — ranging from fair (Rorschach) to average (Nite Owl, maybe Doctor Manhattan), to pretty darned good (Comedian, Silk Spectre, Minute Men, Ozymandias). Worth collecting, no matter how much it makes Alan Moore gnash his teeth. The best have taken something in the original and fleshed it out in an interesting and appropriate way. The worst haven’t added anything new (or have, in fact, added some news stuff that didn’t quite work).
Say, when did you start pronouncing it “exavier” instead of “zavier”?
Hmmm, @Avo — not sure why. Probably that it’s pronounced that way in all the media renditions of Prof. X is why I tilted that way.
Of course, Sr. Cugat pronounced it “Zavier,” and that’s the official pronunciation found here: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/xavier
So I could always be wrong.
Well, 30 years ago, you pronounced it “zavier.” I figured you were bugged by the “exavier” pronunciation of the movies and cartoons, as I am. Apparently not.
🙂
Hmmm. Will you do a little bit of a holiday guide in your next ‘cast? And an end-of-the-year “best” grouping? (grinning)
Yikes!
Okay, let me think about that. In theory I should be doing that this weekend. In practice, it’s going to be next weekend. Which gives me a chance to review.
Of course, I do have a December podcast to go, too.
