Movie Review: "G.I. Joe: Retaliation"

Hey, it's not like I spent money to watch it on my business trip flight out.  And it made the time pass a bit more quickly.  No, actually, it's not bad. It's not good, but it's not bad.

A ★★½ review of G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013)
This flick is more than a bit muddled between its parallel plotlines and backstory tangles, but the villainy is appropriately cartoonish (Jonathan Pryce as the President is particularly delightful), and the heroes are appropriately mythic in their heroism and feats of high-caliber derring-do. It’s not “Citizen Kane,” but it doesn’t want to be, and if you’re looking for a couple of hours of pleasantly unmemorable pyrotechnics, booing of black hats…
