Okay, so maybe it's okay shutting down this piece of the government

No, not really. But slapping a few faces silly?  Yeah.  

Imagine being overseas. And being told, when you try to get home, that you're on the No-Fly list. And instead of being given a reason, you're told you can get off of it (and get a payoff), if you start "naming names" of friends and family back home.

Remember, these are the folks keeping the homeland "safe".
