A long, long weekend

And, of course, a nod and consideration for those who served in the US military, and lost their lives in doing so. Good people, bad people, good wars, bad wars — you deserve and receive remembrance.

I could use, after a four-day weekend, a day off. Lots of stuff going on, as previously noted — in-laws moving here, friends moving to a new locale, my mom visting, Denver Comic Con, my daughter's 15th birthday …

All yay-worthy, to be sure.

The other noteworthy thing worth noting is the partial initiation of the New Kitchen, both with using the dishwasher for washing dishes (and the convection / microwave for actually baking some potatoes), but also entertaining people on a couple of evenings. Everyone oohed and aahed, and also made use of the space just as intended. It made us happy.

I could really use a day or two more off, but so it goes.
