Alas, I'm down with a head cold or sinus infection or something, so I did't attend the Marching Band Death March yesterday up in Ft. Collins (call at 5:15am at the school; released a bit after 2:00am).
Arapahoe High School went in seeded 6th for 5A schools in the state. They had some problems (I am told) in the semis that dropped them to 7 — but they not only clawed their way back up to 6 in the finals (where movement rankings is unusual), but were only 0.2 points below the 5th place team (and were solidly 5th place for visual). They finished with an overall 79.7, which is darned good (last year they were at 80.15 for 5th place).

Well done, +Kay Hill and the AHS Warriors Marching Band!
(In lieu of a picture from the tournament, a picture from The Music Man.)
Hope you feel better soon
Woot! Congratulations to everyone, glad to know all of the hard work and time spent has paid off.
Shocked the Legacy won with that wacky theme they've got this season. Also surprised that Cherry Creek came in last, since I thought their show was way stronger than Arapahoe's.
Also, hope you do not have what I've got, starting week 3 of it.
That's fantastic!
Good morning from Chicago
+Stan Pedzick Yeah, the "All Who Wander Are Not Lost" wasn't my favorite show, but they performed it well. Interestingly, they got the General Effect award, but Fossil Ridge got the High Music and High Visual Effect awards. Not quite sure how that works (and the CBA explanation is less than illuminating).
Can't agree on Cherry Creek, but that's what makes a horse race.
