And the results for the 2015 Colorado Marching Band finals are

Alas, I'm down with a head cold or sinus infection or something, so I did't attend the Marching Band Death March yesterday up in Ft. Collins (call at 5:15am at the school; released a bit after 2:00am).

Arapahoe High School went in seeded 6th for 5A schools in the state. They had some problems (I am told) in the semis that dropped them to 7 — but they not only clawed their way back up to 6 in the finals (where movement rankings is unusual), but were only 0.2 points below the 5th place team (and were solidly 5th place for visual). They finished with an overall 79.7, which is darned good (last year they were at 80.15 for 5th place).

Well done, +Kay Hill and the AHS Warriors Marching Band!

  1. +Stan Pedzick Yeah, the "All Who Wander Are Not Lost" wasn't my favorite show, but they performed it well. Interestingly, they got the General Effect award, but Fossil Ridge got the High Music and High Visual Effect awards. Not quite sure how that works (and the CBA explanation is less than illuminating).

Can't agree on Cherry Creek, but that's what makes a horse race.
