I'm not sorry to see Christie drop out of the race, as I find him a generally unpleasant individual, even if he did hug President Obama. I do feel a little sorry for him, since his campaign strategy of being blunt and bullying to the point of offense got completely overwhelmed by Trump out-blunting and out-bullying him.
On the other hand, I'm also glad he's dropping out because I was getting so tired of people — including a lot of otherwise liberal / progressive / ostensibly sensitive folk — making incessant fun of the man's weight, completely oblivious to the irony of then being angry over folk criticizing Clinton's age or gender. Not a lot of class in those criticisms, regardless of the person to whom they were directed.

gotta say that I enjoyed Christie berating Robo Rubio the other night.
He was a solid presence on the debate stage, so that will be missed. It's good to see the "establishment lane" finally starting to thin.
👍
He's a blowhard and an asshole, but not nearly as bad as the republican frontrunners. Ironically, the clown car achieves a lower mean IQ with his departure.
Carli is out too.
+Bandito Duran I don't completely buy that one has to have had executive authority in order to be a good president, but it wasn't a bad line. And he did nail Rubio's weaknesses pretty accurately.
+John Hummel Though he had done the obligatory tacking to the Right during the campaign, he's been much more his own man as governor than party hack. That man isn't a particularly nice or constructive one, but there are far worse GOP governors out there.
I would have very much disliked a Christie presidency, but not as much as I fear a Cruz one.
+Stan Pedzick I saw that. I shed no tears. I hope she writes a book and sinks back into wealthy obscurity.
My thoughts exactly, +Dave Hill.
