Movie Review: "Justice League: War" (2014)

This animated mostly-retelling of the DC New 52 reboot of the Justice League is full of (a) obnoxious characters who are only dubiously heroes and (b) punching. Glad it was free on Netflix.

  1. The animation was decent, the character voices were okay (though Alan Tudyk as Superman felt a bit … off), and there were some fun bits (mostly involving Batman). If the character stuff had been non-52, I'd have probably given it 3.5 to 4 stars.

    The Diana/Superman interactions were cringe-worthy.

  2. Sword-crazy Wonder Woman and property-damage loving Superman was some of the worst of it, and then when they were interacting… yeah. I still think you were being generous.

  3. Yep, the "52" DC animations fall far short of the previous features. The constant bickering between the characters got tiresome real quick.
The Flash Paradox isn't very good either. The character animation may appeal to magna fans. All the male characters have small heads, huge chests and biceps,, then small legs.
