Un-American radicals demand open borders, free stuff for illegals!

I mean, get a load of these libtards and the America-destroying policies they suggest — open borders, work permits for Mexicans, clear rejection of even a fence (let alone a wall), reference to their own family members being part of the invading horde, and, of course, suggesting all those folk who have sneaked across and are stealing our jobs and raping our women and breeding anchor babies like rabbits should get free stuff, as if they were as good as US citizens.

Where the hell did they dredge these un-patriotic crazies up, Europe? Good thing America knows better than to listen to traitors like this!

  1. You've only touched upon part of what these dangerous radicals stirred up. As the ultra-Communist organization the Heritage Foundation notes:

    = = =
Ronald Reagan first proposed a free trade agreement between the U.S. and Mexico in his 1980 presidential campaign. Since that time, The Heritage Foundation is proud of the role it has played in articulating President Reagan's vision of free trade in Latin America and around the world. Since the mid-1980s, Heritage analysts have been stressing that a free trade agreement with Mexico not only will stimulate economic growth in the U.S., but will make Mexico a more stable and prosperous country.

In essence, the libtards were proposing that economic systems be promoted that provided "win-win" results for both the United States and Mexico.

Thankfully the country has moved on from those dangerous day, and we are now concentrating on making AMERICA great again. That's the only way that American companies like Harley-Davidson are going to win.

  2. Reaganomics (/reɪɡəˈnɒmɪks/; a portmanteauof [Ronald] Reagan and economics attributed to Paul Harvey)[1] refers to the economicpolicies promoted by U.S. President Ronald Reagan during the 1980s. These policies are commonly associated with supply-side economics, referred to as trickle-down economics or voodoo economics by political opponents, and free-market economics by political advocates.

The four pillars of Reagan's economic policy were to reduce the growth of government spending, reduce the federal income tax and capital gains tax, reduce government regulation, and tighten the money supply in order to reduce inflation.[2] During Reagan's presidency the national debt almost tripled and the U.S. went from being the world's largest creditor nation to the world's largest debtor in under eight years.[3][4][5][6]

  3. +Bob Mama Irony aside, I'm not suggesting I agree with everything, or even most things, that Reagan did — though given a choice between Ronald and Donald, I'll go for the senile guy with a sense of decency, against the one without.

But the GOP has been dominated for almost forty years by a hagiography around Blessed St. Ronald. That they have so easily cast so much of that aside, esp. his view of immigration (which famously included an amnesty) is worth noting to at least give a poke at the people putting up with the cognitive dissonance.

  4. Trump's basically a Johnson era Democrat. But all those Democrats were kicked out of the party after 2004.
NAFTA wasn't free trade. For instance Canada tariffs all US goods at 3%. That doesn't sound Free to me. It was just a bad deal.
Reagan also built a wall. A wall serves it's purpose. It creates an obstacle which reduces the cost of enforcing border security.
Trump could win massive support for the midterms by immediately giving citizenship to all illegal immigrants and substantially increasing the amount of people allowed to legally immigrate. Most of these people are coming for Trump's economy. The problem isn't with the immigrant but with their children.

  5. I personally have never agreed less with an administration than this one, and I generally am "loyal opposition" in GOP administrations. I view this regime as a silent coup, and un-American, and that in supporting programs such as family separation and deserting NATO we have lost our way.

I sincerely believe this administration is corrupt and seeking to dismantle government as we've known it in favor of an authoritarian unconstitutional model, and that we are struggling to deal with the conflict within rule of law, with reasonable integrity, vs. people who respect neither.

And as a person who has spent her life building bridges, this makes me profoundly sad. My first political mentor was a fine Republican, and many of my friends are "old guard."

But this is making my heart tear in two.
