Christmas Cards are both a personal bane (taking up the chunk of time they do) and a personal joy (a chance to reach out to people — friends and family — who aren't social media correspondents and the like). I'm glad that another generation is finding them retro enough to be cool.
Why are paper Christmas cards still a thing? Millennials, for once, are to thank.
Old-fashioned paper greeting cards, delivered via snail mail, have remained a holiday tradition, even as social media and smartphones give us more ways to keep in touch than ever.
They are still in fashion, personal and cool to get.
They've gone up to eight bucks a card; geez…I quit sending them.
Some things never go out of style.
