Of course, the Law of Plant Sale Karma will now come into play. While it’s been expressed in many ways, the most succinct rendition is, “You buy it, you plant it.”
I actually didn’t buy as much as I often do — we’re (hopefully) going to be doing a bunch of relandscaping out front (which will mean more plants, but cant be bought/planned quite yet), and most of the current planting areas are well populated. Still, a quartet of small roses were the biggest items, plus some various herbs, Plant Select items, etc. Really, only enough to fill a shopping cart …
It should be a nice day for planting, sunny but cool, with the lilacs in bloom.

Neither, apparently, does my plant budget. 🙂
Would it be fair to say you’re green with envy?
