Wow. I had no idea that Tim Miller — the director of the wildly successful Deadpool movie — directed the DC Universe Online cinematic that launched that MMORPG back in the day, and co-founded the studio that did it.

I was actually at the San Diego Comic-Con when that cinematic premiered, and the crowd went freaking wild. (My reaction at the time — albeit with a very odd autocorrect: https://twitter.com/three_star_dave/statuses/19451352395)
Despite improvements in graphics over the past several years, it still holds up pretty well, and still demonstrates what grabbed Fox's attention to bring in Miller: his ability to choreograph a massive battle like this.
(As a side note, part of what made it so stunning at the time was that it felt exceptional — that mass and gritty violence involving the DCU characters was something horrifying, apocalyptic, and extreme. I'll make my obligatory anti-New52 comment here by noting that DC has since made this kind of thing more the rule than the exception. The video is less shocking, not because I've seen it before, but because DC has moved the goal posts as to what constitutes comic book action, and not in a good way. But I digress.)
Anyway, I will confess that this makes me marginally more likely to see Deadpool, but, regardless of that, it's just an interesting bit of trivia about how things connect up in funny ways. Also known as "Well, I knew him when (except I didn't know it was him)."
(As a final side note, no, the game, DCUO, was not 1/3 as good as the cinematic; it had its moments, but ultimately didn't grab me.)
