Wein was one of those workmanlike creators for Marvel back in the day who could just crank out good, enjoyable stuff at a prodigious rate, occasionally groundbreaking (as with his creation of both Wolverine and, thereafter, the rest of the All-New X-Men: Nightcrawler, Colossus, Storm, etc.), but never too flashy. He never came across as a brilliant auteur, just someone you could rely on for solid entertainment and imagination.
Thank you, sir.
Marvel Remembers Len Wein
Looking back on the life and career of a legendary creator.
I enjoyed his work. I'm glad I got to meet him at ECCC a few years back. He signed six comics for me. 🙂
