I do hope she does serve some modicum of time, or at least get a hefty fine. I take jury duty quite seriously, and lying to get out of it (and then bragging about said lie on talk radio) deserves a bit of public spanking.
On the ironic side, having a felony record may very well excuse her in the future. #ddtb

Denver juror who lied to get out of duty arrested after bragging about it months later on talk radio – The Denver Post
Juror No. 4361 was a wreck. Her hair hung askew in curlers. Her shoes and reindeer socks mismatched. Heavy makeup was smeared on her face.
The only issue I had with my Jury Duty was that I had no one to watch my kids. I was a stand-by and of course I got called in the middle of the week. Cliff had to take off work (his job was NOT happy) so he could watch the kids. I got lucky…the power went out about an hour after I got there and stayed out for the rest of the day. They canceled all the cases that day and send us home with a check. Easiest jury duty evar.
I got the feeling the one time I was actually likely to be picked that perhaps I was more intelligent than the defense wanted. I noticed they tossed out the ones who were sounding interested and intelligent. Stupid.
I’d actually like to serve, now that I don’t have to worry about picking up Arthur from school while I should be in the court.
On the most recent jury I was nearly on, I was first or second alternate. Most of the folks excused were people who seemed to have either personal background in similar cases or pertinent professional knowledge (medical background or personal injuries).
I was disappointed not to be selected.
