+Kay Hill watched a couple of classic "Twilight Zone" eps in social studies, for discussion of how they reflected 50s-60s Cold War fears:
"Living Doll" (Talking Tina)
"Eye of the Beholder" (the facial reconstruction one)
When she got home and told me about it, I quick checked and found out that TZ is available for free on Amazon Prime Instant Video, so we watched a few Season 3 classics:
"The Shelter" (talking about Cold War fears)
"It's a Good Life" (yes, Lennier had a troubled childhood)
"To Serve Man" (a long wind-up for a great pun)
"Nothing in the Dark" (thus giving Kay a full gamut of Robert Redford's career)
Thanks, Rod Serling, wherever you are.
You didn't show her "Time Enough at Last"???
I Sing the Body Electric
A Passage for Trumpet
Last Rites of Jeff Myrtlebank
The ones I hit were all Season 3 (of which I still want to add "Four Characters in Search of an Exit").
"Time Enough at Last" is defintely on the list, +Scott Randel. The ones you list, +Greg Stockton, are pretty darned good, too.
Just stay away from Season 4.
+Scott Randel I don't know that I've watched enough of the hour-long eps to have an opinion of them.
The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street always stuck with me. I also like It's a Good Life (because Bill Mumy), and how could you not show her Shatner's classic freak out in Nightmare At 20,000 Feet? 🙂
Plus all the ones previously listed.
Plus all of them.
+Solonor Rasreth "Monsters" and "Nightmare" are both on the (whatever season they are) list. Also Shatner's other ep (with the little devil fortune teller), and the one with Agnes Moorehead as the woman whose house is invaded by tiny aliens.
