1. It boils down to the fact that that “other” game lets me decide when I’m going to get double xp… and CoH schedules it when I’m going to be out of town for the weekend.
   Both times, if I remember correctly.

2. Yes. I like the approach the “other” game takes to it better, largely for that reason.

3. UO had it.
   EQII has had it and it is great for altitus.
   You gain 2% per hour in your house, or 1% per hour outside of your house with a MAX of 200%. Over the holidays they had a bonus 20% on top of that.
   Also, you work off debt at 1% per hour if not logged on to a character.

   The bonus 20% was on top of the double XP I mean.

5. Oh yeah, that’s something else I like about that other game…
   No. Debt.
   Ever. 🙂

7. I’ll take debt over corpse recovery.
   That was an evil of EQ1.

8. That’s a fun bit of WoW also — no real corpse recovery — you can just opt to take some damage to your gear (fully repairable) and wake up back at the town/cemetery.

10. Debt doesn’t both me so much, especially as it’s not really debt so much as recovery. You simply advance more slowly (not a fun thing, to be sure, but it’s, importantly, not losing anything that you already have) (“Sorry, you have now lost enough XP to dropped a level … goodbye, travel power!”).

11. Oh, I’ve been in games where that was the case. Suuuuuucked.
