Uninstalled LotRO this evening. It’s a beautifully crafted world, an expansion of Tolkien’s writings that deserves accolades. I just didn’t find it a gripping enough game to stick with it (esp. compared to City of Heroes).
I will continue to peer over Doyce & Kate’s shoulder to see what wonders they discover, but the road, for the moment, doesn’t go on and on. Except to Rhode Island …
I’m sorry to hear that. I enjoyed reading your posts on LotRO.
With the advent of Book XIV and the Prologue to Volume II now live, I got to see the Fellowship off as they made their way out of Rivendell. Unfortunately, they declined to let me go with them. 🙁
Tomorrow, I’m off to PAX where I plan to hang out at the Turbine and Cryptic booths for awhile before heading off to the LotRO party at Gameworks, where there’ll be “food, games, fun, and swag”! 🙂
Excellent. Have fun!
And thanks for your enjoyment of my LotRO stuff. There’s a lot I admire about the game, and I don’t regret having played it at all.
Should you be interested, you can read my summary of my day at PAX and the LotRO party here:

Cool — I think I’ll promote that to a full post. Thanks.
Thanks for the promotion! I’ve updated my post with a bit of information gleaned on my return trip.
You may not be the only one linking to this. Seridove, senior managing editor at Stratics, asked me to send her the URL, so it may be showing up on a major gaming website. 0_0
Woot!
Yep, she linked to it! I sent her an email thanking her and noting that she had called the expansion “Mines of Moira.” 😀
