{"id":1890,"date":"2011-05-11T17:49:18","date_gmt":"2011-05-12T00:49:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/heroes\/?p=1890"},"modified":"2011-05-11T17:49:18","modified_gmt":"2011-05-12T00:49:18","slug":"coh-world-of-heroes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/heroes\/2011\/05\/coh-world-of-heroes.html","title":{"rendered":"CoH: WORLD of Heroes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I&#8217;ve not been hanging out in the forums and CoX site all that much of late &#8230; so I was a bit startled when I fired up the game this afternoon and &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Hey &#8230; what are all those servers?<\/p>\n<p>I thought for a moment I might have been on Test, or else something awful had happened, but, no, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityofheroes.com\/news\/news_archive\/one_game_one_global_server_acc.html\">Global Server Access<\/a> has come to CoX. So now everyone can see not just the North American or European servers, but both.<\/p>\n<p>Which means one now has <em>15 <\/em>servers to stuff alts onto &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The Europeans take it a bit in the shorts here, since if there are @name conflicts, etc., theirs are the ones that get altered.\u00a0 But aside from that &#8212; it&#8217;s pretty cool.\u00a0 Better news than the &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/gamenws.com\/672\/coming-server-consolidation-dc-universe-online\/\">server consolidation<\/a>&#8221; going on over in DCUO, alas (though, on the bright side, that article&#8217;s English is hysterical).<\/p>\n<p>(Actually, I&#8217;m expecting server consolidation to hit CoX sooner or later &#8212; Victory, where we do all our stuff these days, is nigh-on-ghost-towny.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So I&#8217;ve not been hanging out in the forums and CoX site all that much of late &#8230; so I was a bit startled when I fired up the game this afternoon and &#8230; Hey &#8230; what are all those servers?
