Never saw this on CoX, but it shows up prominently in LotRO, and, gauging from Google, it shows up various other games. <\/p>\n
My initial thought was that it was a warning about variable game performance, but evidently it’s an ESRB stock warning<\/a>.<\/p>\n Online games that include user-generated content (e.g., chat, maps, skins) carry the notice “Game Experience May Change During Online Play”<\/strong> to warn consumers that content created by players of the game has not been rated by the ESRB.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n <\/p>\n I.e., LotRO is rated T-for-Teens …<\/p>\n Titles rated T (Teen)<\/strong> have content that may be suitable for ages 13 and older. Titles in this category may contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling, and\/or infrequent use of strong language.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n … but some yahoo may come up with a character name or shout something on the Chat channel that is inappropriate for that rating (if it were part of the game content).
