Sooo good when it is cold and wintery out.
Ingredients:
- 4 slices bacon, finely diced
- ¼ c onion, chopped fine
- 4 c corn, frozen or fresh
- ¼ c butter
- ¼ c flour
- 4 c milk
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 4 c light cream (half and half)
Directions:
- Fry bacon until crisp.
- Add onion and saute until soft.
- Add corn to bacon and onion.
- Cook until the corn begins to brown.
- Add butter, stir till melted and add flour.
- Cook for 3 minutes.
- Add milk, salt and pepper and cook until thickened.
- Add light cream and heat thoroughly.
Serves: 8-12
