Sure, you can use the recipe on the ingredient box, but where’s the fun in that?

Total time: 50 minutes
Ingredients
- 4 squares Baker’s Unsweetened Baking Chocolate
- ¾ cup (1½ sticks) butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs (4 eggs at altitude)
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sliced almonds
- ½ cup maraschino cherries, chopped
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Microwave the chocolate and butter in a large bowl on High for 2 minutes, or until butter is melted. Take out and stir until chocolate is melted.
- Stir in sugar, eggs, vanilla, and almond extract.
- Add flour, almonds, cherries; mix well.
- Spread mix into the pan.
- Bake 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick in the center comes out with fudgy crumbs. (Do not overbake!)
- Cool in pan on wire rack.
Makes 24 brownies … depending on how you cut them up
