{"id":1156,"date":"2014-11-24T13:53:21","date_gmt":"2014-11-24T20:53:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=1156"},"modified":"2016-02-23T12:35:03","modified_gmt":"2016-02-23T19:35:03","slug":"cocktail-meatballs-with-spiced-tomato-jam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/cocktail-meatballs-with-spiced-tomato-jam.html","title":{"rendered":"Cocktail Meatballs with Spiced Tomato Jam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"CENTER\"><b>Ingredients:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/3 c milk<\/li>\n<li>2 slices white sandwich bread, crusts removed and bread torn into pieces (1 cup)<\/li>\n<li>1 \u00bc lb ground beef chuck<\/li>\n<li>1 egg<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc c freshly grated Parmigiana-Reggiano cheese<\/li>\n<li>1 Tab chopped parsley<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd Tab kosher salt<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp chopped rosemary<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp chopped oregano<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tsp smoked sweet paprika<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc tsp garlic powder<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc tsp cayenne pepper<\/li>\n<li>extra virgin olive oil for brushing<\/li>\n<li>Spiced Tomato Jam<\/li>\n<li>toothpicks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>Directions:<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b> <\/b>In a small bowl, pour the milk over the bread and let stand until it is absorbed \u2013 about 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl, gently mix the soaked bread with the ground meat, egg, cheese, parsley, salt, rosemary, oregano, paprika, garlic and cayenne until thoroughly combined.<\/li>\n<li>Form the mixture into 3\/4 inch meatballs.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat broiler.
