{"id":1755,"date":"2015-03-14T05:07:38","date_gmt":"2015-03-14T11:07:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=1755"},"modified":"2016-03-08T13:45:53","modified_gmt":"2016-03-08T20:45:53","slug":"mini-big-fat-bacon-sliders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/mini-big-fat-bacon-sliders.html","title":{"rendered":"Mini Big Fat Bacon Sliders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>This is a recipe you make to take to a party once and ever after it is &#8220;bring those sliders you brought last time&#8221;. \u00a0They will disappear!<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 lb ground sirloin beef<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp ground black pepper<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp garlic salt<\/li>\n<li>1 Tab Worcestershire sauce<\/li>\n<li>1 lb bacon, regular sliced<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd c barbecue sauce (Pay a little more for the good stuff.)<\/li>\n<li>32 sharp cheddar cheese, thin slices (shavings)<\/li>\n<li>32 small spinach leaves<\/li>\n<li>11 Bridgeford frozen rolls (11 of the 18 roles in the package)<\/li>\n<li>party picks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cut the frozen rolls into 3 pieces. (easier if they are half defrosted)<\/li>\n<li>Set cut roles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.<\/li>\n<li>When defrosted, roll into balls and place back on parchment paper to rise \u2013 about 2 hours.<\/li>\n<li>Heat oven to 350\u00b0.<\/li>\n<li>Bake rolls for 15 minutes, until browned.<\/li>\n<li>Cut in half to make mini hamburger buns.<\/li>\n<li>Combine ground sirloin with garlic salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce.<\/li>\n<li>Knead with hands to combine.<\/li>\n<li>Form into (32) \u00bd oz balls.<\/li>\n<li>Heat oven to 450\u00b0.<\/li>\n<li>Cut slices of bacon in half crosswise, making 32 slices.<\/li>\n<li>Cook bacon on foil lined pan until almost done but still flexible \u2013 about 6-7 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Drain off the bacon fat. Save the pan and foil.<\/li>\n<li>Wrap one half piece of bacon around ball of hamburger, pulling slightly to keep taut.<\/li>\n<li>Place patties, bacon seam side down, on a rack.<\/li>\n<li>Press gently on each patty to flatten.<\/li>\n<li>Refrigerate for 20 to 30 minutes to firm.<\/li>\n<li>Place rack on the tray you used to cook the bacon. It is already dirty!<\/li>\n<li>Brush each patty liberally with barbecue sauce.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 10 minutes, or until bacon is cooked.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from oven and lay a cheese shaving on each patty.<\/li>\n<li>Place spinach leaf on each bun bottom, top with patty.<\/li>\n<li>Brush bun top with more barbecue sauce.<\/li>\n<li>Place bun top on patty.<\/li>\n<li>Spear with party pick to hold together.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Serves:<\/strong> Makes 32<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source:<\/strong> Based on a recipe by Ree | The Pioneer Woman on May 25, 2011<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a recipe you make to take to a party once and ever after it is &#8220;bring those sliders you brought last time&#8221;. \u00a0They will disappear!
