{"id":247,"date":"2011-07-07T13:31:17","date_gmt":"2011-07-07T19:31:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/?p=247"},"modified":"2017-03-25T14:21:30","modified_gmt":"2017-03-25T20:21:30","slug":"the-one-true-blue-cheese-dressing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/margie\/the-one-true-blue-cheese-dressing.html","title":{"rendered":"The One True Blue Cheese Dressing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>I made up nine different blue cheese dressings and then we tasted them &#8211; this one was our favorite.\u00a0 Simple, creamy, blue cheesy and chunky. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00be\u00a0c Danish Blue Cheese, crumbled<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd\u00a0c mayonnaise<\/li>\n<li>\u00be\u00a0c sour cream<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp lemon juice<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd\u00a0tsp grated onion<\/li>\n<li>1 clove garlic, pressed<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd\u00a0tsp Worcestershire sauce<\/li>\n<li>freshly ground pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Mix ingredients in order given.<\/li>\n<li>Blend well.<\/li>\n<li>Cover and chill to allow flavors to blend.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Serves: <\/strong>Makes 2 cups<\/p>\n<p><strong>Notes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I used the blue cheese crumbles from Costco<\/li>\n<li>I used dried onion<\/li>\n<li>I added the Worcestershire sauce to the original recipe<\/li>\n<li>and, yes Mary, I did use real mayonnaise although it would probably be even better with Miracle Whip.<\/li>\n<li>One of the dressings added creamy cottage cheese &#8211; it would add more texture and volume.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Source:<\/strong> An ad for Danish Blue Cheese<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I made up nine different blue cheese dressings and then we tasted them &#8211; this one was our favorite.\u00a0 Simple, creamy, blue cheesy and chunky.
